THAT GLOW, THOUGH
Monthly facials are always recommended, but let’s be honest, sometimes they are not within our budget or perhaps not a top priority. The great news is that there are some incredible products available for at-home use that can replicate that post facial radiance.
You just have to follow these 3 easy steps...cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish, all in that order. Doing so on a daily basis will keep your skin looking fresh, glowing and fabulous.
First things first, it is SO important to get the skin super clean at the beginning and end of each day. Remove all make up, SPF, and skin care products along with any dirt, sweat or environmental pollution that has accumulated on your skin. Doing this morning and night will keep your pores cleaner (which leads to tighter pores), and will also allow any product that you apply on your skin to absorb much easier. Most breakouts can usually be minimized by using a proper cleanser, look for one that is bubbly and foaming. (I love these 3 facial cleansers; they are affordable and get the job done)
The cells on our face are constantly turning over and accumulating, causing dull and dry skin, as well as clogged pores. Exfoliating regularly will shed off that excess layer giving your skin a smoother, youthful appearance, while tightening your pores. Can be done 1-2 times a week, or every single day depending on your skin type:
Dry/sensitive 1-2 times per week
Normal 3-4 times per week
Oily/acne prone every day
M-61 Power Glow Treatment Wipes are far my favorite way to exfoliate. These wipes are great for all skin types, and ages, and there’s enough solution on one treatment wipe to do your face, neck and chest. They will make your skin glow by morning.
Drinking water will hydrate you from the inside-out. Externally applying serums, creams, and masks will help nourish your skin from the outside-in. Every time you cleanse, apply a serum, cream or mask on to your skin directly afterwards. Serums tend to be lighter, better during the day for your a.m. routine. Creams and masks are usually rich and emollient and are preferred in the evening with your p.m. routine. Masks should be done at least once a week.
Remember to treat your face, neck and chest as one area.
